Vernon Development

The Vernon Development Group of companies focuses on commercial land development and construction. As a design builder Vernon Construction will work with a client from the most infant stages of concept through design and engineering, developing the most creative and cost effective plan. We coordinate all stages of construction from ground breaking to final occupancy. We have worked diligently to ensure that our company's standards for excellence are well above and beyond the standards considered normal in the industry. We strive to develop strong and cooperative relationships with the villages and communities in which we work. In just a very short time and with help from all of our knowledgeable and skilled employees, we have established a reputation for excellence and attention to detail that far surpasses that of our competitors.

Brief Firm History

Vernon Development was established in 1990 as a land planning company, providing complete services in all phases of all types of projects ranging in size from a single lot to hundreds of acres. In 1994 we expanded our operations into construction as "Vernon Construction," a design build firm that provides assistance in all aspects of design and engineering, space planning and utilization, electrical systems design, engineering and installation; plumbing system design; and heating, air conditioning, and ventilation design and installation. Our highly skilled carpenters, painters, electricians and HVAC technicians complete all phases of interior build out. In addition we provide services in land planning and utilization, and have recently completed road and utility improvements on a 70 acre industrial park, known as "Tinley Corporate Center" and "Hickory Creek Corporate Center," which houses nearly thirty different manufacturing and service businesses.



Our services begin with initial design consultation meetings, leading to preliminary design draft through final design and engineering. We coordinate all aspects of site plan review, village approvals, permit application and initial site preparation. We manage all aspects of construction from ground breaking through final inspection and occupancy with costs included in a single fee negotiated during the design phase.

Westmont Gardens, Westmont IL
Located on Cass Avenue in Westmont, Illinois, this facility includes 32 upscale condominiums, beautiful landscaping, upscale finishes, and secure parking located in the heated garage. This new gated community is certainly going to be one of a kind.

 

 

 

Office

Vernon Office and Technology Center, Tinley Park IL

We are currently working on phase 2 of a new office and technology center with nearly 200,000 sq./ft of office space spread across six new, modern buildings. Each office building is complete with a two-story atrium, state-of-the-art security, stainless steel staircases, and “built to suit suites.” Amongst the six buildings, employees will find a two mile walking path along with benches, gazeboes, ponds, beautiful scenic landscaping, and outdoor wireless internet access. With visibility from Interstate 80 and a mere 35 minutes from downtown Chicago this location is surly to be one of the most unique and impressive office campuses in the Chicagoland area.

Westchester IL
New 8,000 sq./ft retail center. The work consists of the demo of an existing gas station and the construction of a new upscale masonry retail facility in Westchester, IL.

Work is nearly completion on a two-story, 49,062 square foot industrial/office condominium building located at 8150 West 185th St. in Tinley Park, Illinois. This innovatively designed building sits on 3.63 acres of land and includes 140 parking spaces. It will feature spacious build-outs for tenants with a purchase or lease option at this prime location. Right off the I-80 interchange, minutes away from I-57 and I-355, and 35 minutes from downtown Chicago this building is easily accessible for any office or industrial requirement.
